5 out of 5 stars Crack for dogs   August 17, 2008

Your dog will love this. You should follow the instructions and show him how to get the squeaky eggs out without destroying it, and then it will last quite a while, even with a heavy chewer like ours. If your dog is one of those ones that instantly tries to destroy anything soft, this won't hold up, but if he's just a player, this will last a while.

5 out of 5 stars Great big dog toy too!   October 30, 2008

So, I was a little skeptical about buying this, since my dog is a massive german shepherd that tends to make it her mission to remove all the inside stuffing of toys (and geniunely enjoys it.), but I bought it anyway just to see. Since I have given it to her, she has barely put it down. She LOVES this toy, and somehow, most of its stuffing has stayed inside! I think the part that she likes most about the toy is the removable squeakers that come inside. She can sit there squeaking for-e-ver, until she gets them out. I'm so glad I bought this for her, and will probably buy more of the egg-baby types.

5 out of 5 stars Great toy, but not for slow learners   June 9, 2009

Haley loves interactive toys. It started with an elf hat I had gotten her several years ago (no, I don't normally dress up my dog but thought the elf hat was hilarious). It quickly became one of her favorite TOYS. It remains in our bed -- only her special, favorite toys make it there. I started shoving her smaller toys into the hat all the way to the end, and she would work and get them out.

I later purchased the Hide-a-Squirrel and the Christmas I-Qube, which she loves -- only she normally likes to hold onto it, run through the house, and slam it back and forth while she's running to get the toys out -- I stuff them completely with the toys that came with them and as many of her smaller toys as will fit.

I thought the Egg Babies Fish would be the next step. We've only had it a few days. She showed no interest of getting out the eggs. She would just hold onto the fish by the body and squeak the eggs through the outside. I kept showing her that the eggs came out, but she still didn't seem to care. I then placed a couple "Bitty Balls" (little tennis balls) inside. She REALLY wanted to get them out. She removed them in the strangest way. She put her upper jaw on the outside of the fish and her lower jaw inside the body. She then eased/slid the ball out. I just assumed she would stick her face inside it to pull them out. Haley did try to sneak it outside with her last night (I only allow her to take her tennis balls outside), so she must really like it a lot, considering she didn't want to let it out of her site while she went outside to pee.

I'm not sure if a dog that is not used to interactive toys would figure it out. They would still enjoy the eggs and the actual fish itself.

My dogs destroy so many stuffed toys but the Egg Babies are ones they just don't eat. They carry them around, squeak them, play fetch with the eggs etc. A great find!

Today a dog toy order came in the mail that included the Egg Babies- Fish, a sock monkey and a grunting stuffed rat. The fish was their favorite, one of the two dogs figured how to take the eggs out aft4er they stopped fighting over the toy. They both played with the eggs after they took them out of the fish. I choose the fish Egg Baby because it was the only one with big, pop out eyes, which the dogs love to chew on (but they don't distroy toys)
It came with 3 eggs inside the fish and an extra 2 eggs incase something happens to the other eggs. If anything ever happens to the fish I'd definitly buy another one :)
