I use this to deter barking. It works! I'm currently using it to train a dog to stop jumping up on people. And it's worked for that too. I'm absolutely in favor of positive training methods and this works to catch the dog's attention without any yelling. Properly used (not within a foot of your dog's ears) it's an effective tool for most dogs, and would also be a good tool to keep unknown dogs away from you while walking.

I have been trying many things to get my Jatzu to stop barking...my friend owned this and let me borrow it...it has been AMAZING!!! The UPS guy showed up today and my dog just sat there not making a sound...it has done WONDERS for us!!! I highly recommend it!

I used this for the first time today at the dog park with my husky who has made the habit of jumping over the fence when dogs pass by on the outside of the park. I truly was not expecting this to work especially on a husky which are extremely intelligent animals. I am worried about him getting used to the sound and start to ignore it in the future but we'll see. I think a lot of it is in how you use it. Make sure to correct the negative behavior so they know this is the result. Don't use it too much and I wouldn't use it for everyday training personally. I will use it as little as needed for bad behavior only to limit the times he hears it. Regardless, he responded positively today and I was very pleased. The other dogs at the park also responded but make sure when you use it with other dogs around that you single yours out so the other dogs don't associate it with them being bad. I just say my dog's name and "no" or whatever, push it for 1 second and he stops whatever he's doing. I recommend this product!

When i first bought this product i was convinced that it was a joke and i was going to ask for my money back. but after receiving it i tried it out on my stubborn yorkiepoo and low and behold it worked like a champ. one of the best products i have ever bought for control of my dogs. i also paid 1,800.00 for an electronic fence that kinda works sometimes though........

Wasn't so sure this would work. Thought it was another gimmick, but it works great. If dog is barking or acting up, one push for a couple of seconds gets their attention and they stop. Now all I have to do is let them see it without pushing it and they stop. Works better than I ever thought it would.
